A Dose of Humour for a Sunday Evening, or #SpoilAMovie
As it turned out, the Twitter community took to this bit of fun - or Twitter flashmob - quite eagerly, resulting in the creation of several hundred altered movie titles. Some witty, some funny, some not so amusing.
On the evening of Sunday, 11 May, Comedy Latvia [1] posted a perfectly innocent invitation on its Twitter social media page to "decorate" local movie titles by adding the hashtag #SabojāFilmu (= #SpoilAMovie).

As it turned out, the Twitter community took to this bit of fun - or Twitter flashmob - quite eagerly, resulting in the creation of several hundred altered movie titles. Some witty, some funny, some not so amusing. Be that as it may, the more serious Twitter public initially raised an eyebrow and looked on at the whole thing with suspicion, shrugging in incomprehension. But once the nature of the activity had been explained, they too joined in quite readily.

This Twitter activity very quickly pushed the hashtag #SabojāFilmu to the top of regional trends - which, remarkably, even overtook the weekend's biggest talking point: hockey.
As we confirmed today, the public activity has still not died down and the hashtag #SabojāFilmu continues to be added to, and can all be viewed together here:
