Home Style: Bathroom
A dream of a large and bright bathroom. With a window - why not - and flowering potted plants. Stained glass and richly coloured tiles. A niche built into the wall that handily serves as a shelf for various bath cosmetics - bath foam, shampoos, body lotions, and aromatic oils, etc.

Bath or shower? If the space allows, why not both. The shower for daily rushing about, the bath for a longer indulgence of oneself. The latter could even be an entire ritual - a bath filled with bath salts, flower petals, or foam. Afterwards, body oil or lotion, then a soft bathrobe to keep the body warm, or the opposite - the refreshing touch of silk. Hmm, it turns out I am quite the dreamer and lover of comfort. :)

For some reason, nowadays it has become customary to push the bathtub into a corner or strictly position it against one of the walls. We recall the old days when the bathtub lived an autonomous life within its room - standing proudly alone in the middle of the space on impressive, decorated, sometimes even gilded, but solid four legs. Bathtubs were filled with warm water from large pitchers, and ladies went to bathe in long white nightgowns. It brings to mind the golden bathtub I saw at the opening presentation of the Indi beauty salon centre. A single object that lends the entire room an air of luxury.

Mirrors - the larger the better; the more the better. First of all, mirrors, when positioned well, make a room look visually larger. Second, where else does one admire oneself, if not in one's bathroom - rejoicing over an evenly tanned skin tone or criticising the first wrinkles.
