The BNI Vivaldi Launch Event at the Gaismas Pils Restaurant in Klīversala

After six months of careful preparation and gathering of active, enterprising, and action-driven business managers and owners, on the morning of 10 March the launch event of Latvia's second BNI group was held at the Gaismas Pils restaurant. It was attended by more than 130 guests from a variety of companies and fields of activity.

The event took place within the framework of the traditional BNI group's twenty-point agenda, slightly adapted to the large number of participants and the celebratory atmosphere of the occasion. Addresses were given by the BNI leadership - Marts Ešenvalds (BNI Latvia director) and Nerijus Lungys (BNI Baltic director) - once again telling everyone about BNI's operating principles and philosophy: to grow your business on the basis of referrals and recommendations.

The greatest excitement and sparkling energy prevailed among the 31 BNI Vivaldi members, who prepared and delivered their 30-second elevator pitches about their businesses, expressed thanks for deals already concluded, and provided recommendations - or "warmed-up" contacts - to other members. Here is my own elevator pitch:

Several BNI Vivaldi members had taken special care to prepare pleasant surprises for those present. For example, Ieva Ušacka from Veloman not only talked about her company but showed the audience Bianchi brand bicycles and, during the break, let everyone handle and try them out. Dita Bogdāne from Scan Latvija demonstrated a device for measuring health levels. Meanwhile, Juris Veiklis from Flowerpitstop had arranged a beautiful rose for every woman in the room.

The event certainly would not have been as wonderful had Fēliks Neimanis - BNI Wagner group president and manager of the Klīversala restaurant - not offered the premises for this occasion, or had Gatis Orlickis from Baltic Pictures not captured the moments throughout the entire event.
