Continuing the mood board, or atmosphere collage, theme, I was struck by an idea and inspiration to play and clothe in visual images the days, places, and moments that call for... authenticity. Anthracite expresses a person's truthfulness, deep within, and sometimes - looking you straight in the eyes - on the outside. "I love you in the darkness of anthracite / And in the rain-wept windows of happiness, / And now - not with the first love - / With the last, beyond which there is nothing."

Moreover, the garments are presented in a setting that enhances the mood - natural dark-wood interiors, an antique painting in a gilded frame, a church vestibule with candles, Arabic patterned tiles on the wall (a common sight in Spain and Portugal), a view of Seville's old town, and so on.
