What do we know and what stereotypes never stop following us when we utter the word - Moscow? I, as a proper post-Soviet person, saw Moscow in childhood almost every evening on television screens, I can still infallibly recognise the sound of the Kremlin chimes, I know it is large - and back then it seemed distant and unreachable.
Dance as a physical activity, a developer of posture, balance and movement, and a creator of physical freedom, relaxation, and outer and inner peace. Dana (meaning "black pearl" in Lebanese Arabic) has been practising belly dancing for more than 5 years. She continuously expands her knowledge with dance teachers in Egypt, Greece and right here in Latvia, Riga. She also teaches and passes on to others her knowledge of Egyptian and Arabic dance choreographies and the skill of expressing her feminine allure through dance.

Stone piles, countless crosses and monuments, wooden and stone sculptures, inscribed or carved symbols - zodiac signs, the eye of God, the solar circle, the tree of dawn, and the like. All of this was gathered together by the sculptor and eccentric Vilius Orvidas.
This year we used a slightly different tactic for visiting Museum Night events than in previous years. On the evening of the 17th of May we headed to the peripheries - Pārdaugava, Sarkandaugava, Hanzas Street, Lāčplēša Street, Mežciems. The result: we saw a great deal, heard a great deal, tried out many things, and were relatively tired.
We named this place the "penguinarium." In the Sea Museum's 31 aquariums one can find the most interesting of 50 freshwater and Baltic Sea fish species, as well as exotic sea dwellers.
