A Decorated Candle

Christmas and gift-giving time is approaching, so just as in previous years I am seeking out and bringing to life ideas for handmade festive decorations, tree ornaments and personalised little gifts. This time I will explain how to decorate a candle simply.

Christmas and gift-giving time is approaching, so just as in previous years I am seeking out and bringing to life ideas for handmade festive decorations, tree ornaments and personalised little gifts. This time I will explain how to decorate a candle simply.

To make it you will need:

·         a white or coloured candle (Ls 1.59);

·         dark jute fabric (Ls 0.75);

·         lace ribbon (Ls 1.50 per metre);

·         super glue (Ls 0.39);

·         scissors;

·         a button with four holes;

·         a small piece of paper cord.

Wrap a strip of jute fabric around the candle and secure with super glue, then in the same way attach the lace ribbon on top.

Thread the paper cord through two of the button holes, wrap it around the candle and thread the other ends through the remaining two button holes. Finally pull tight and tie. The candle decoration is ready.
