What Is Your Personal Year in 2014?

Numerologist Dita taught me how to calculate the personal year and determine what awaits in that year - its predisposition and mood. It was a new, interesting experience, and moreover one grounded in the mathematical approach I find close to heart. Here is how it is calculated.

About a year ago I got to know numerologist Dita Blūma and attended her individual consultations at the New Psychology Centre to learn more about the numerological messages of my first name, surname, date of birth, and company name. It was a new, interesting experience, and moreover one grounded in the mathematical approach I find close to heart.

Dita taught me how to calculate the personal year and determine what awaits in that year - its predisposition and mood. This seemed very engaging. Moreover, it was also significant, as this year 2014 is for me the first year of a nine-year cycle.

Here is how it is calculated: if I was born on 8 April and the year I am interested in is 2014, then all the digits must be added together to obtain a single digit. For example: 8+4+2+0+1+4=1+9=1+0=1

Below are explanations of each personal year with its defining word, colour, and my own subjective impressions.

The defining word for Personal Year 1 is beginning - all new projects and new beginnings in this year are successful. It turns out that each year also has a dominant colour. For this one - red. Quite revolutionary, it must be said (in a positive sense). And that is understandable, since every beginning, every act of creation and founding is associated with strong energy expenditure.

I also like the sayings - one might even call them mantras - that are attached to each year as characterisations. For the first year it is: "I take my first steps and begin new and courageous endeavours!"

Personal Year 2 involves establishing relationships and collaboration. The year's colour - orange - makes me think of Buddhist monks' robes. There is something in that, since the defining value of this year is patience.

I like the colour orange, especially in interior design - less aggressive and quite friendly. Accepting the year's mantra will be more of a challenge: "I trust the flow of life, which unfolds in accordance with divine laws."

Personal Year 3 is full of creativity. The defining word - joy. A yellow flowering dandelion meadow on a sunny spring day smiles back at me. Yellow pollen on my fingertips. That is my feeling of joy. Yes, "I love life and its joy!"

Personal Year 4 promises diligent work and the realisation of opportunities. Practicality is held in high regard and is tremendously useful. Think! - "I make use of every opportunity, and everything will work out for me."

The colour - green. The colour of vitality, life's sap, nature, our strength, peace, and sustenance. Yes, green is great support for hard work.

Personal Year 5 brings change. As ever, for some this is a certain stress, anxiety, and fear of the unknown; for others it is new opportunities and a challenge. The colour - light blue. "I embrace responsibility with joy and love!"

Personal Year 6 involves putting things in order and taking on responsibility - "I fulfil my duties with joy and love!" The colour is no longer so light and airy, but rather blue - as if the energy flow has changed, now coming not from the light blue sky but from the dark waters.

Personal Year 7 is a year of spirituality, of exploring oneself and the meaning of life. The prevailing value - faith. Similar to the festive vestments of Catholic priests, the dominant colours here are purple and violet. "I rejoice in spiritual seeking and find answers to many questions!"

Personal Year 8 brings success. Enough work has been done and confidence in what has been achieved arrives. Hmm, a full three colours - beige, brown, pink - quite grounded, unpretentious, calm, even classic. Of course, because at last there is stability. "I am accompanied by good fortune; in my field I achieve success!"

Personal Year 9 is the concluding year of the cycle. Conclusion is the key word. Pastel tones - composure, a kind of held breath, preparation for a new stage of life. "I am satisfied, complete, and fulfilled!" I would even sooner choose harmony as the key word - peace with oneself, within oneself, and in one's surroundings.
