Halloween Pumpkin Carving
Given that the pumpkin came to us from the North American continent, the carving traditions are evidently to be found there too. Unfortunately no historical source can tell us who started this tradition and when.

Unfortunately, this autumn I didn't find the time to get my hands on those orange and palely muted autumn wonders - pumpkins - to make some beautiful decoration for the home. The little decorative pumpkins, gifted and brought from the countryside, are still sitting on the kitchen windowsill. But there is no shortage of decoration ideas. Here are a few. Perhaps they'll come in handy for you ;)
The colour orange - that is warmth, energy, success, positivity, and zest for life. This colour seems to say: I want to be friends with you. Orange is best expressed in details, and also in furniture - sofas, armchairs, and settees. But there can be an entire wall in this colour, provided the space is large enough not to feel overpowering.
The colour white harmonises beautifully with other colours, it is a good base for other colours, and against it other colours - and forms - can stand out well. White demands space. It contains space within itself, can make ceilings look visually higher and room walls wider.
Time is always short, the holidays are coming, and you want to create a festive atmosphere at home. So this time I have gathered twelve different ideas that will come in handy for making Easter decorations, using no more than three or four elements.
Our kitchen renovation saga for the year has just come to an end - it lasted a good 8 months. Everything is looking lovely, new, and in working order (well, the only thing still missing is the finishing touch - two anthracite-coloured stools). A pleasure to spend time in and cook in the new space. But for those of you approaching your own kitchen renovation, we'll share our experience, recommendations, and ideas.
Place cards at events are primarily needed to introduce a certain order - simply to arrange event attendees, guests at a table or individual tables, in a logical sequence. They are a personal greeting to each of the guests, as well as a token of attention and gratitude for their attendance. But a place card can also serve as a gift that each guest can take home after the celebration.
This time I decided to gather ideas for simple yet original ways to decorate a home, garden, picnic spot, or romantic evening venue. I think it's always handy to have a few tricks up one's sleeve for creating a festive mood - for yourself and others. What's more, summer is a very accommodating season in terms of materials, weather conditions, and choice of location.
After a long rest under a thick blanket of snow, the earth awakens with splendid flowers suffused with sunlight and the sap of life - anemones, tulips, daffodils. That is precisely why flowers are an indispensable part of a spring table setting, and they need no pompous vases or bright bows. Spring flowers in clear, pure forms and natural simplicity.
The classics are of course good, but everything flows and changes and takes on a new form. So this time I offer ideas for a different, more individualised Advent wreath. In my view, the wreath should not only please the eye, but should have "a soul" - i.e., so you can touch it and feel the rough bark of wood, smell the bitterness of the forest, the sweetness of citrus and cinnamon, and so on.
